Professional Bio for Maya Frost

Maya Frost is an imaginative futurist, adaptation activist, and multi-disciplinary change strategist who has turned a lifetime of personal and systemic upheaval into transformational work with others.

With experience spanning entrepreneurship, global education, art, and community development, she helps individuals convert despair about the world’s colliding crises into grounded gratitude, imaginative possibility, and inspired action.

Her practice, collapse-forward companioning, offers a deeply human alternative to therapy or coaching. Through attuned presence, grief literacy, and embodied discernment, she helps people metabolize what feels impossible, reclaim their agency, and move through collapse as a threshold rather than an ending.

In the early 2000s, her playful approach to mindfulness influenced people in over 100 countries. Her book, The New Global Student, was published by Crown/Random House in 2009.

Raised in Oregon and now based in Amsterdam (The Netherlands is her seventh country of residence), she leads her initiative, Collapse Forward, walks with collapse-aware individuals as they make their way forward from waiting and worrying to dreaming, daring, and doing.
