Work With Me

I may be an accidental grief worker, but it is my calling.
I have profound personal and professional experience with grief.
As a result, I developed a simple but surprisingly effective process to deepen awareness, activate healing, and inspire engagement and creative adaptation.
What I offer is companioning rather than counseling or coaching.
Created and tested during my experience as a creative breakthrough coach working with those who were facing devastating loss, the Doom to Bloom™ process uses storytelling prompts that explore your emotions, thoughts, and responses, as well as your longings for the future.

This process is a powerful way to access your ability to assimilate and acclimate to our shifting reality because it:
🔷meets you where you are - it is highly personalized to reveal your own particular way of dealing with both dissonance and distress as you experience this unsettling era
🔷emphasizes disruption rather than rumination to shift thought patterns and habits that keep you locked into despair and paralysis
🔷builds immediate momentum and consistency to help you find balance on this wild ride
🔷leverages your creativity to revive and redirect your energy

"Maya asked me questions that really got to the heart of my longing in a way that I had not accessed. Our ongoing conversation was exactly what I needed to keep me on track with my new habits and get me inspired about what I could do.
The process Maya taught me is one I will continue to turn to as things evolve."
Les - healthcare professional in the U.S.

¨Maya´s voice chats were like having a personal coach in my pocket! I feel so much lighter despite everything. I have new rituals and tools for building resilience that energize me daily.
I am a much more conscious leader for my team. Instead of fearing the future, I feel we are actively creating it with full awareness.¨
Noreen - owner of a community-building consultancy in the U.S
Doom to Bloom™
offers meaning, mending, and method to living with the knowledge of loss.

"What I loved most about my time with Maya was her prompts to share my stories related to Nature. It was the beginning of a beautiful reconnecting to who I was as a child, happily playing in the creek and discovering new wonders daily.
Those stories and memories brought a new resonance to my life and work."
Jenny - photographer/film director in the U.S

¨Honestly, being open about collapse is a huge f#$*ing RELIEF. Maya helped me find my courage. I finally talked with my wife about my anguish around our failed responses to the climate crisis. I left the company, and launched a new project.
It´s going well, but more importantly, it feels good. I am beyond grateful.¨
John - former sustainability lead for a U.S. corporation

I don't pretend to be a climate psychologist or eco-therapist.
I don´t claim to be an expert in collapse.
But I am especially well-positioned to usher you through this personal journey thanks to:
🟦 my work helping 160+ individuals move through their grief in order to thrive in new ways
🟦 my own life experience processing profound grief and loss
🟦 my particular blend of trauma-informed facilitation, creative breakthrough coaching, and mindfulness training
My work is also informed by:
🟦 my 30+ years of learning about deep ecology, behavioral psychology, and systems thinking via the work of the wonderful Joanna Macy, Donella Meadows, Yuichi Inoue, and others
🟦 my engaged exploration of collapse by integrating relevant information from scientific research on climate indicators with the thoughtful work of Jem Bendell, Nate Hagens, Ginie Servant-Miklos, Daniel Schmactenberger, Vanessa Machado de Oliveira, Justin McAfee, and others
🟦 my ongoing personal experience in creative adaptation while making major life changes - living in seven countries, building entirely new communities, and immersing in new perspectives
🟦 my deep concern as a grandmother navigating future-related worries while focusing on resilience, joy, and love

Sweet little faces blurred for privacy, but you get the vibe. 🧡
I offer TWO ways to help you.
OPTION ONE:

Doom to Bloom™ is a depth-plus-momentum process that leads to transformation.
It starts with an opening 90-minute Zoom session.
Then, daily text/voice/video (your choice) prompts and exploration for two weeks.
Curiosity-stirring prompts. Quiet questioning. Deep sitting. Gentle but firm accountability.
Also: humor. (Because we need to expand our capacity for lightness to balance the heaviness.)
And because this is a journey that requires continued reflection as things emerge, you get access to ongoing support for three full months - plenty of time to practice and further personalize your new adaptation habits.
Through the Doom to Bloom™ process, you will:
🔷 recognize what triggers your personal swirl of emotions and responses and how they show up
🔷 use effective tools to improve your ability to ride the waves and positively channel the energy they give you
🔷 create and follow your plan to ground and strengthen as you move forward with this new awareness, leading to deep discovery, deliberation, and delight.
Price: US$995

¨Maya offered outstanding guidance in starting a collapse conversation with my clients. It was like opening a door. It shifted everything, leading to more future-aware ways of working together.
