Clarity. Comfort. Comic Relief.
When it comes to mindfulness, I'm a bit of a prankster. You see, I believe that lightness is liberating.
It turns out that plenty of people like their mindfulness training tips served with heaping side order of humor. In fact, applying humor and gamification theory (tackling small, enjoyable tasks to motivate us to move to the next level) to mindfulness turned out to be, well, a real game changer.
Since starting my own mindfulness practice over 30 years ago and building my company, Real-World Mindfulness Training, I have helped thousands of readers and clients in over 100 countries get calm, clear, and creative. My playful, eyes-wide-open approach to everyday awareness has been featured in a crazy range of over 150 web and print media outlets around the world, including The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, Parent, Penthouse, Popular Science, Wired, the Italian version of Elle, a Swiss magazine for abstract artists, and a book for teachers in India.
That was a few years ago. These days, I don´t put any effort into building my personal brand.
But I take this work of play seriously. Play is powerful. And creating your own *best* mindfulness practice? That is liberating!
I´m a minimalist. That means I keep things:
Simple. I choose only what matters most to me. So instead of working on my Instagram account, writing more articles, or pitching a book, I focus on offering just-you-and-me sessions with people like you. It´s what I love most!
Affordable. I live a simple life. That's why I charge just $50 for a personalized get-right-into-it 30-minute session. You choose if and when to continue. There is no series to sign up for. (I schedule no more than four 30-minute sessions per week. First come, first served!)
Practical. Since I work with people all over the world, I use Skype (or other web-based calls) and email only. It´s a great way to connect, voice to voice, heart to heart, without distractions.
Fun! This isn´t a deep dive into the pain of your past. It´s not therapy, but it is therapeutic. Because no matter what you're facing in your life right now, I promise you that lightness will make it easier. You will find yourself yearning to play this game of mindfulness, and that's what keeps you feeling engaged and playful!
Listen, your mindfulness practice doesn't have to be still, silent, and serious. You don't have to meditate if you don't want to.
And if you've never even thought about mindfulness before, this is the perfect way to jump in.
In fact, you can be skipping along with greater clarity and a whole new lightness of being after just one session.
Learn how to make mindfulness such a natural part of your day that you don't even have to set aside extra time to do it.
