I feel so blessed that my family relocated to another country as a teenager where I had to learn a new language and culture. I too had to make up some academic requirements over two summers. It was a challenging experience, but also very life enriching and ultimately directed me in my career choice as a global educator.

I was myself an exchange student in the US, being native from Moldova, and I just loved it. I had to stay one extra year in the university, but what I have learned and experienced there couldn't have been achieved staying home. After two years, I hope I will get the chance to explore other parts of the world and make me more aware of the global issues. I spend a gap year as a Rotary Exchange student. It changed my life, and though I was "a year behind" in college I was light years ahead in all of the things you just mentioned. I can't wait for your book to come out, I've already been spredding the word and wish there was more I could do to promote global awareness. Thank you for doing what you do.
